Leadralia

Leadralia vs Apollo.io: which one fits how you prospect?

Apollo sells seats on a contact database of people. Leadralia searches the map live for businesses and charges per result. A fair comparison of what each one is actually good at.

Every prospecting tool ends in the same place: a list of companies and a way to contact them. How it gets there is what separates one from another. Apollo.io starts from a database of people it has already collected and sells you seats on it. Leadralia starts from the map, searches it live at the moment you press the button, and charges per result.

That one difference decides nearly everything else: who you can find, how current the record is, what a campaign costs, and whether you need a subscription at all.

This comparison includes the cases where Apollo is the better tool and you should pick it. Prices and features checked in September 2026; check the vendor's site for current details. The Apollo figures come from Apollo's pricing page and its own published plan comparisons.

The table, row by row

What it finds

This is the fork in the road. Apollo finds people: a named operations lead at a 400-person logistics company, with a title, a company record and a way to reach them. If your deal needs a named human inside a larger organisation, that is the shape of data you want.

Leadralia finds businesses. Search "dental clinics in Lyon" or "hair salons in Rotterdam" and you get every one in that area, with address, phone, website, rating and reviews. It does not tell you who the practice manager is. For a bakery, a garage or a three-person accountancy firm that matters less: the business address is the decision maker's address.

Data source and freshness

Apollo's strength is scale. Its own material describes 240M+ people and 30M+ companies, which is why it can answer questions no map can answer, such as headcount, tech stack or job title.

Leadralia has no stored list at all. Each search queries the map at that moment, across 195 countries, down to a single street. The effect shows in the long tail: a clinic that opened last month is in your results, and a business that closed is not. Any database, however well maintained, lags reality most at the small end of the market, where businesses churn fastest.

Pricing model and entry price

Apollo is a seat plus credits model. On annual billing, Basic is $49 per user per month with 30,000 credits a year, Professional is $79 with 48,000 credits, and Organization is $119 with a three-user minimum and 72,000 credits. Credits renew at the start of each billing cycle and expire at the end of it, so unused allowance does not roll forward. Monthly billing exists, but the exact monthly figures are not published on the pages we checked.

Leadralia has no seat and no subscription in the default setup. You top up a wallet from €5 and pay €0.02 per business found, €0.00 to find and verify its email address, €0.05 to send an email through the platform and €0.02 to reveal an address for use elsewhere. A business you already have costs €0.00 in any later search, forever, so overlapping searches and monthly re-scans are not billed twice. Every search carries a spending limit you set. Optional plans run from €19 to €299 per month, the yearly option charging for ten months and giving twelve.

The worked example on the Leadralia site: 1,000 businesses found (€20), all 1,000 emails found and verified (€0), the best 500 emailed (€25), so €45 in total.

Free tier

Apollo's free plan is $0 forever with 900 credits per year (75 a month), two sequences and basic filters. It is a genuine way to see the product; the credit budget is the constraint.

Leadralia's free tier is 25 searches and 10 email sends per month with no card required. Those are different units, so compare what each lets you do: Apollo's free tier looks up a small number of individual contacts, Leadralia's runs whole area searches and emails a handful of the results.

Email verification

Both platforms care about not burning your sending domain. Apollo spends one credit per contact for an email address and publishes a 98% accuracy figure for its database.

Leadralia does not charge for the address at all. It reads the email from the business's own website and verifies deliverability before you can use it. Nothing is guessed from a name pattern, and if no working address exists the field stays empty. Hard bounces are remembered, so the same dead address is never paid for twice.

Outreach

Apollo is the stronger engagement platform, and it is not close: multi-step sequences across email, phone and social, a dialer on the higher tiers, CRM integrations, a Chrome extension and an API. If you run a sales floor with pipeline stages and a manager watching the numbers, that machinery is what you are buying.

Leadralia's outreach is deliberately narrow. Describe your offer in a sentence and the built-in AI writes a personal message; you read, edit and approve every word, and the exact audience and exact cost are on screen before anything is sent. Messages go by email from your own mailbox (Gmail or Outlook via OAuth, any SMTP mailbox, or your own domain). Replies land in an inbox inside Leadralia, and each lead carries a status, a note and a follow-up date. That is a thin CRM, not a sales engagement suite.

Integrations

Apollo wins this outright. Leadralia has no API, no browser extension and no CRM connector today. It has export to Excel or CSV, and nothing to install. Which of those is the advantage depends on whether you have someone who maintains integrations.

Compliance setup

Leadralia's records are public business data only: a business's public listing and its own website, no bought databases and no data brokers. Every message ends with a one-line source sentence and a simple way out (send "no" to the address at the bottom; mail to Belgium also carries an unsubscribe link), a business can remove itself instantly through a self-serve portal, and Leadralia never sells data.

Apollo's database is personal data about named individuals, which is a heavier legal object in Europe. That does not make it unusable, it makes the lawful basis and the notice your responsibility to get right. Apollo does not set out those specifics on its pricing page, so treat it as a question for your own counsel.

Languages and who it suits

Leadralia's interface runs in nine languages, which matters when the market you are opening is in Istanbul, Lisbon or Riyadh. Apollo's interface is published in English; other interface languages are not published.

When to choose which

Choose Apollo when:

  • You sell to mid-size or large companies and need a named decision maker, not a front desk.
  • You need firmographics a map cannot supply: headcount, funding, tech stack, job title, intent signals.
  • You run a sales team that lives in sequences, a dialer and a CRM, and you have seats to fill.
  • You want an API, a Chrome extension or a CRM sync, and someone to maintain them.

Choose Leadralia when:

  • You sell to local businesses: restaurants, clinics, garages, shops, salons, trades, small agencies.
  • You need every business in an area rather than a sample, current this week.
  • You would rather pay per result than carry a subscription, a seat count or an annual commitment.
  • You are opening a market you do not know yet and want to see the whole category first.
  • GDPR is the first question your legal team asks, and public business data with a built-in opt-out is the easy answer.
  • Nobody on your team is technical and nothing may need installing.

Plenty of teams use both: Apollo for the accounts where the name of the buyer is the whole game, Leadralia for the long tail of small businesses where the map is more accurate than any database.

Three questions people ask

Can Leadralia find the owner's name and personal email?

No, and it will not pretend to. Leadralia finds businesses and the email address published on the business's own website, usually a general or role address. If your offer needs a specific named person inside a company, Apollo is the right tool for that job.

Is per-result pricing actually cheaper than a seat?

It depends on volume and on how many people need access. One Apollo Basic seat is $49 per user per month on annual billing, charged whether or not you prospect that month. At €0.02 per business, similar money buys a few hundred fresh businesses with verified emails included, and a quiet month costs nothing. A team of five sending sequences all year is a different calculation, and the credits in an Apollo seat are meant for exactly that.

Can I use Leadralia if my whole process already lives in a CRM?

Partly. There is no CRM connector, so the path is export to Excel or CSV and import from there. Leads carry a status, a note and a follow-up date inside Leadralia, enough to run a campaign end to end, but it is not a replacement for a CRM and it does not sync with one.

Bottom line

Apollo.io is a contact database and a sales engagement platform for teams selling to companies big enough to have org charts and named decision makers. It is deep, it integrates with everything, and you pay for seats and credits whether the month is busy or not.

Leadralia is a live map search for businesses, with a verified email address per result, AI-written outreach and per-result pricing. It is built for local and SMB markets anywhere, for people who want the complete list of a category in an area rather than a sample, and for anyone who would rather pay €0.02 than sign an annual contract.
