Leadralia vs UpLead: a contact database by credits, or a live map search
UpLead sells verified contacts from a database, one credit at a time. Leadralia sweeps an area live, finds and verifies the business email for free and writes the outreach. Which one fits your work.
UpLead and Leadralia both end with contact details you can act on today. They disagree about what a lead is.
UpLead is a B2B contact database. You filter on industry, company size, location, job title and the technology a company runs, and it returns named people at those companies with a work email and a mobile direct dial. You spend a credit to unlock each one, and the email is verified at the moment you export it.
Leadralia starts from the map instead. You pick a type of business and an area, and it sweeps that area live, returning every business that matches with name, address, phone, website, rating and reviews. The email address published on the business's own website is found and verified for €0.00, and the built-in AI then writes the first message and sends it from your own mailbox.
So the question is not which product is better. It is which unit you are buying: a named person inside a company you already decided to target, or the complete current list of the businesses in a territory.
At a glance
| Criterion | Leadralia | UpLead |
|---|---|---|
| Complete coverage of an area | every business on the map | by filters, not by area |
| Data read at search time | live from the map | database, verified at export |
| Named people with job titles | businesses, not people | contacts with titles |
| Mobile direct dials | public business number only | included in a credit |
| Verified email address | included, €0.00 | verified at export |
| Firmographic and technology filters | business type and area | 50+ filters, technographics |
| Buyer intent data | not offered | on the Professional plan |
| Usable without a subscription | wallet, pay per result | monthly or annual plans |
| Free tier with no deadline | 25 searches a month | 7 day trial, 5 credits |
| Outreach written and sent inside | AI drafts, you approve | export to your sequencer |
| API and CRM sync | export to Excel or CSV | API, bi-directional CRM sync |
| Browser extension | nothing to install | Chrome extension |
In short. UpLead is the better buy when you know which companies you want and need a named person, a direct dial, or a filter such as industry, headcount or technology. Leadralia is the better buy when the list itself is missing, when the business is the buyer, and when you would rather pay per result than hold a subscription.

Reading the table row by row
Coverage: filters or an area
This is the row that decides most of the others. UpLead answers "which people match this description", where the description is a set of filters: industry, company size, location, seniority, job function, the technology a company has installed. Its site says more than 50 filters and 16,000 technology data points are available.
Leadralia answers a narrower question completely: "which businesses of this type exist in this area right now". Every search sweeps the map, so the criterion is not whether a business was ever collected into a database, it is simply whether it is on the map today. That is why a salon that opened last month appears, and why a market you have never sold into returns a full list rather than a sample.
If your buyer is a head of IT at a 500 person company running a particular CRM, no map sweep will find her. If your buyer is the owner of every tyre garage in a province, no filter set guarantees that all of them are in the database.
Freshness
UpLead's freshness story sits in the verification: its homepage describes leads as AI-verified as you search and ranked by freshness, emails are verified again at export, and the vendor publishes a 95% accuracy guarantee with credit refunds for invalid addresses. Those are UpLead's own claims, and they are a real answer to the oldest problem in bought data.
Leadralia has no stored list to keep fresh. Each search queries the map at that moment, then reads the business's own website for its email address and checks that the address accepts mail before you can use it. Nothing is guessed from a name pattern; if no working address exists, the field stays empty.
What one unit costs
In UpLead, the unit is a credit. Its help centre states that one credit equals one contact or one company, that viewing basic details is free, and that credits are spent when you unlock an email or mobile number, export a contact to your CRM or download it to Excel. Essentials is $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 a month billed annually; Plus is $199 a month for 400 credits, or $149 billed annually; extra credits on Essentials are listed at $0.60 each. Professional is custom, billed annually, and adds buyer intent data, full API access, bi-directional CRM sync, team management and a dedicated success manager.
In Leadralia, the unit is a result. A business found, with phone, website, rating and reviews, costs €0.02. Finding and verifying its email address costs €0.00. Sending an email through Leadralia costs €0.05, refunded automatically if the send fails. Revealing an address to use somewhere else costs €0.02, and a business you already have is €0.00 in every later search, forever. You top up a wallet from €5 by card, the balance never expires, and every search carries a spending limit you set, so a bill cannot pass your number.
There are optional Leadralia plans from €19 a month for people who search every week, with the same features in every tier, but nothing is locked behind them.
Commitment
UpLead's help centre says it offers flexible subscription plans with no long term contracts: monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, annual plans ask for 60 days notice before renewal, and access runs to the end of the billing cycle. That is fair, and it is still a subscription: a quiet month costs the same as a busy one. With Leadralia a quiet month costs nothing, because you only pay when a result arrives.
The free tiers are different shapes
UpLead's free offer is a 7 day trial with 5 credits and one user. It is a test drive, not a working allowance, and no permanent free plan is published.
Leadralia's free tier is 25 searches and 10 email sends a month, with no card and no deadline. A search is an area sweep rather than a single lookup, so it returns many businesses, each with its email found and verified at no charge.
After the data
UpLead stops at the contact, by design. The record goes into your CRM through an integration, into your sequencer, or out through the API on the Professional plan. If you already run a sending stack you like, that is a feature.
Leadralia has no API, no browser extension and no CRM integration to hand the work over with. Instead it writes the message itself: describe your offer in one sentence, the AI drafts a personal email, you approve every word, and the exact audience and the exact cost are on screen before anything is sent. Messages go out from your own mailbox (Gmail or Outlook by OAuth, any SMTP mailbox, or your own domain) by email, each ending with a one-line source sentence and a simple way to say no (send "no" to the address at the bottom). Replies land in an inbox inside Leadralia, and every lead carries a status, a note and a follow-up date.
The kind of data involved
UpLead sells business contact data about named individuals, including mobile direct dials. That is personal data under the GDPR wherever it identifies a person, and the duties follow it into your CRM: a lawful basis, information obligations toward that person, and their rights to object and to erasure.
Leadralia uses public business data only: the business's public listing and the address on its own website. No bought databases, no data brokers, no personal or LinkedIn profiles, no phone verification. Every message ends with a one-line source sentence and a simple way out (send "no" to the address at the bottom; mail to Belgium also carries an unsubscribe link), a business can remove itself instantly through a self-serve portal, and Leadralia never sells data. Leadralia works under the GDPR. Personal contact data opens doors that business data cannot, and carries duties that business data does not.
When to choose which
Choose UpLead when:
- You need a named person at a company, with a job title and a mobile direct dial.
- Your targeting is describable as filters: industry, headcount, revenue, location, seniority, installed technology.
- You want technographics or buyer intent signals to time your outreach.
- You prospect from a browser extension and push records into a CRM automatically.
- You want an API and bi-directional sync inside your own stack.
Choose Leadralia when:
- The list is the missing piece: every dental clinic in a city, every hotel on a coastline, every garage in a province.
- You sell to local businesses, where the business itself is the buyer and there is no committee to map.
- You are entering a market you have never sold into, anywhere in 195 countries.
- You want the freshest possible picture, including the places that opened this quarter.
- You do not want a subscription, or your volume is lumpy.
- You want the message written, approved, sent and answered in the same tool.
Some teams run both, and the split is clean: a contact database for the named accounts they already decided to chase, Leadralia for the long tail of businesses in a territory.
Three questions people ask
Can UpLead give me every business in a city?
It can give you the records it holds that match a location filter, which is a different thing. A database answers from what has been collected; a map sweep answers from what is there. For local businesses, especially small ones and recent openings, the two lists will not be the same length.
Is Leadralia cheaper than UpLead?
It depends on the shape of the work rather than a headline number. UpLead's Essentials plan is $99 a month (or $74 billed annually) for 170 credits, whether you use them or not. Leadralia charges €0.02 per business found and €0.00 for the verified email, with no monthly floor, so a quiet month costs almost nothing and duplicates are free forever. If what you need is a named person with a mobile number at a company you picked, UpLead delivers something Leadralia does not sell at any price.
Can Leadralia find a contact at a specific company?
No. Leadralia works at the level of the business: its public listing, its own website, its published email address and its public phone number. It does not provide named individuals, job titles, LinkedIn data, personal data or verified mobile numbers. For that, a contact database is the right tool.
Bottom line
UpLead is a solid B2B contact database with verification at the centre of its pitch: credits unlock named contacts with a verified work email and a mobile direct dial, the filters are deep, and the Professional plan adds intent data, an API and CRM sync. If you can describe your buyer as a set of filters, it does things Leadralia does not do at all.
Leadralia is for the step before a database can help: when the list does not exist yet. It sweeps an area of the map live for every business of a type, finds and verifies the business email for €0.00, and writes and sends the first message from your own mailbox, at €0.02 per business found with no subscription.
If your bottleneck is "which businesses should I even be contacting", run one search for free and compare the result with the list you have. The first 25 searches need no card, and what Leadralia does is the full walkthrough.
