Leadralia vs RocketReach: a people database, or every business on the map
RocketReach looks up named professionals and spends a credit per contact. Leadralia sweeps the map for every business in an area and finds the verified business email for free.
RocketReach and Leadralia both end with a contact in your hand. They answer different questions on the way there.
RocketReach answers "how do I reach this person". It is a contact database, described on its own site as 700 million professionals and 60 million companies, searched with filters or through a browser extension on a profile you are already looking at. You spend a lookup credit, and it returns verified email addresses, plus mobile and direct phone numbers on the plans that include phone data.
Leadralia answers "which businesses are there to reach at all". You pick a type of business and an area, and every matching business in that area comes back live from the map, with name, address, phone, website, rating and reviews. The email address behind each business is found from the business's own website and verified for €0.00. Then the built-in AI writes the first message and sends it from your own mailbox.
So this is not a contest between a good tool and a bad one. It is a question about which half of the job you are missing, and RocketReach is genuinely stronger at several things that matter.
At a glance
| Criterion | Leadralia | RocketReach |
|---|---|---|
| Complete list of businesses in an area | every business on the map | not built from the map |
| Named people with job titles | businesses, not named people | 700 million professional profiles |
| Business email address | found and verified, €0.00 | one lookup credit each |
| Phone numbers | public business number, not verified | mobile and direct dials |
| How current a record is | read live at search time | crawled index, verified on lookup |
| Works without a subscription | pay per result, wallet | monthly or annual plans |
| Free tier | 25 searches, 10 sends monthly | 5 lookups, no card |
| Writing and sending built in | AI drafts, you approve | Messages, sequences, AI writer |
| API and AI connectors | none | API plus an MCP server |
| Browser extension and CRM sync | none | Chrome, Salesforce, HubSpot |
| Data on named individuals | public business data only | personal and professional data |
In short. If the companies are already chosen and you need the right human inside them, RocketReach is the tool. If the list of companies is the thing you do not have, a lookup database cannot start until you have built that list somewhere else first.

Prices and features checked in September 2026; check the vendor's site for current details. The RocketReach figures come from rocketreach.co/pricing and its help centre. RocketReach publishes in US dollars and Leadralia in euro, so the two columns are not a like-for-like currency comparison.
What the rows mean
Where you start
This row decides the rest of the table. RocketReach begins with a person or a company that already exists in your world: a profile you are viewing, a name from a conference list, a filtered search of its database. Leadralia begins with an area on the map and a type of business, and it does not need you to know a single company name in advance.
If you sell to garages in a province, no lookup helps you, because you cannot look up a garage whose existence you do not know about yet. If you sell a platform into 200-person logistics firms, the head of operations is the target and the general company inbox is the wrong door.
Where the data comes from
RocketReach maintains an index built by web crawlers that focus on company websites and professional networks, then processes that raw data into profiles. Its help centre says the most popular 700 million profiles are verified in real time when you look them up, and that other contacts are checked on a rotating schedule as often as once a month. That is a large, deep stock of people.
Leadralia keeps no stored list at all. Every search reads the map at that moment, which is why a business that opened last month is in the results and one that closed is not. That is the trade in one sentence: RocketReach has depth on people, Leadralia has completeness and freshness in one area.
What a contact costs
In RocketReach, the unit is the lookup credit. One credit unlocks all the contact information available for one profile, you are never charged more than one credit for the same profile, and the credit is only spent if verified contact data comes back. RocketReach's pricing page puts it plainly: a lookup is used if it finds and verifies an email or phone, otherwise it is refunded. Credits cannot be bought separately except on custom and API plans, so more contacts means a bigger plan.
In Leadralia, finding the business costs €0.02, and finding and verifying its email address costs €0.00. You pay €0.05 only when you send a message through Leadralia, refunded automatically if the send fails, or €0.02 to reveal an address for use elsewhere. A business you already have is €0.00 in any later search, forever.
Phone numbers
RocketReach wins this row and it is not close. Its Pro and Ultimate plans return verified mobile and direct dial numbers alongside the email, and a premium credit costs the same as a standard one, so the phone number does not cost extra on a plan that includes phone data.
Leadralia gives you the business's public phone number inside the €0.02 result. That is the number on the door, not a direct line to a named person, and Leadralia does not verify phone numbers.
Subscription or wallet
RocketReach is a subscription, and the shape of the plan changes with the billing term. Monthly plans include a set number of lookups, 100 on Essentials, 250 on Pro and 1,000 on Ultimate, with unlimited exports. Annual plans flip it: lookups are unlimited under a fair use cap of about 10,000 a month, and exports are a fixed yearly allowance of 1,200, 3,600 or 20,000. Essentials returns email only; phone data starts at Pro.
Leadralia has no subscription by default. You top up a wallet from €5, the balance never expires, and every search carries a spending limit you set, so a bill cannot pass your number. Optional plans exist from €19 a month with the same features in every tier, but they are a discount, not a gate.
The free tier
RocketReach gives 5 free lookups with no credit card, and free accounts can send up to 5 emails in a 24 hour period through its Messages tool.
Leadralia's free tier is 25 searches and 10 email sends a month, also without a card. A search is a sweep of an area rather than a single contact, so those 25 go a long way further than 25 lookups.
Writing and sending
Both tools send. RocketReach's Messages sends through your connected Gmail or Outlook account, with templates, an AI email writer, automatic follow-ups after three and seven days, and sequences for longer series. Paid accounts can send up to 500 emails a day.
Leadralia writes the message from a one-sentence description of your offer, shows the exact audience and the exact cost before anything goes out, and sends from your own mailbox, by Gmail or Outlook OAuth, any SMTP mailbox, or your own domain. Every message ends with a one-line source sentence and a simple way to say no (send "no" to the address at the bottom), replies land in an inbox inside Leadralia, and leads get a status, a note and a follow-up date.
Integrations, API and automation
Another clear RocketReach win. It has a Chrome extension, native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft and Bullhorn, Zapier, a documented API and an MCP server for AI assistants. Worth knowing before you plan around it: on an annual plan, data taken out through the API, an integration, a CSV download or MCP spends export credits, and those are the limited resource.
Leadralia has none of that. No API, no extension, no CRM connector, nothing to install. You work in the interface, in nine languages, and export to Excel or CSV.
Personal data and GDPR
The two products handle different categories of data, and that changes what you have to do.
RocketReach holds personal profile data about named individuals. It offers a profile removal form that anyone can use without an account, a privacy team address, and a setting that filters people in the EU out of search results for customers who want to avoid contacting them. Its own privacy page states that RocketReach is not responsible for how the data is used once found, and recommends that you refer to the GDPR guidelines yourself. The lawful basis for contacting a named person is your responsibility.
Leadralia uses public business data only: the business's public listing and its own website. No bought databases, no data brokers, no personal profiles. Every message ends with a one-line source sentence and a simple way out (send "no" to the address at the bottom; mail to Belgium also carries an unsubscribe link), a business can remove itself instantly through a self-serve portal, and Leadralia never sells data. Leadralia works under GDPR.
When to choose which
Choose RocketReach when:
- You need a named decision maker inside a mid-size or large company, with a title.
- You want phone numbers, especially mobile and direct dials for calling.
- You want an API, a browser extension, CRM sync or an AI assistant connector.
- You run high volumes of lookups on companies that already have a professional web footprint.
- Your prospecting is account based: the target companies are decided, the people are not.
Choose Leadralia when:
- The list itself is missing: every dental clinic in Lyon, every hotel on a coastline, every garage in a province.
- You sell to local businesses, where the map is the market and the general business address is the owner's address.
- You want the freshest possible picture, including businesses that opened last month.
- You do not want a subscription and would rather pay per result than for an allowance you may not use.
- You want the list, the writing and the sending in one place, with no export step.
- You work in markets that a people database covers thinly, or you need a complete count of a market rather than a sample.
Plenty of teams can use both: Leadralia for the long tail of businesses in a territory, RocketReach for the named accounts they already decided to chase.
Frequently asked questions
Can RocketReach give me every plumber in a city?
It can give you the plumbing companies it holds in its database, filtered by location, and the people at them. It cannot promise the complete set, because its coverage depends on what its crawlers found and processed. Leadralia reads the map at the moment of the search, so the answer is every business of that type in the area you drew, including the one that opened last month.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends entirely on the shape of the work. RocketReach's Essentials plan is $19 a month billed annually, $229 for the year, whether you use it or not, and it returns email only. Leadralia charges €0.02 per business found and €0.00 for the verified email, with no monthly floor, so a quiet month costs almost nothing. If you run thousands of lookups every month against named people, an annual RocketReach plan with unlimited lookups is very hard to beat on unit price.
Do I still need a separate sending tool?
Not with either one. RocketReach sends through your connected Gmail or Outlook account, with sequences and follow-ups. Leadralia writes the message with AI, shows you the cost before sending, sends by email from your own mailbox, handles unsubscribes and collects the replies in an inbox. The real difference is what you are sending to: a list you brought, or a list the tool just built for you.
Bottom line
RocketReach is a serious contact database with real strengths: named people at scale, verified phone numbers, an API, an extension, CRM integrations and an unlimited lookup tier for heavy prospecting. If your targets are individuals inside larger organisations, it does things Leadralia does not attempt.
Leadralia is for the step before that, and for a different kind of buyer: the businesses on a street, in a city, in a country, found live from the map, with the business email found and verified for free, the outreach written by AI and approved by you, charged per result with no subscription.
If your bottleneck is "which businesses should I even be contacting", run one search for free. The first 25 searches need no card.
